The ongoing assignment
I am the primary day-to-day designer and brand steward for an independent cinema. I produce the materials that bring programming into mailboxes, inboxes, social feeds, theater displays, and the wider community.
Every piece should feel like Images Cinema. A free outdoor series, a major benefit, and a weekly film guide each need a different volume.
Hierarchy under real constraints
The work moves across simultaneous deadlines, dense event information, sponsor requirements, changing showtimes, and multiple stakeholders. Visual design and information hierarchy have to survive production.
A newsletter people could use
I rebuilt the weekly newsletter in Customer.io as a modular, responsive programming guide. Readers can compare films, find showtimes, understand special events, and reach tickets without decoding unrelated announcements.
The repeatable system helped raise its average open rate from about 40% to 57%.
Outcome
I carry the Images Cinema brand across a busy production calendar, manage revisions with multiple stakeholders, and deliver finished work on real deadlines.
